8.5.2013

So proud of myself today! Still need to work on getting enough fats and potassium, but this is the first time in a long time that I've pretty much gotten enough of everything in one day! Appetite is still acting funny, but I've found that I'm not as hungry for lunch and dinner as I normally am. Might make it harder to eat enough at each meal. Part of it might be my increased fixation with watching the number on the scale decrease and really committing to working out and my social media outlets. Everything has been positive thus far, but this can be a dangerous slope so I'm trying to curb this before it turns into a real problem. I used to become very fixated on my weigh-ins in the past and I won't be having any of that this time around! Lookin' forward to another morning at the gym. Today was fantastic. Perfect quality me time.

8.4.2013

No gym today :/ Pretty bummed. Tomorrow, I'm going to try going before work. I think if I wait until I get home at the end of the day, I'll be too tired to go. Yeah, it'll be a pain to get up, but at least I'll know that I got it done and out of the way. The picnic that I was at didn't really have vegan options so I grabbed a banana before I left and got a cookie while I was there. Still working on my sweet tooth. My baked yam for dinner was so tasty! I forgot to steam my veggies for my stir fry so it ended up not tasting just like I wanted it to, but that's ok. For some reason, my appetite has been off over these past couple of days so I just a) haven't been hungry or b) interested in eating all of my food. I know I'm not eating enough but I don't want to force myself to finish food that I'm not hungry for. Hopefully cardio in the morning and on the weekends will help with that too. Going to get to bed soon since I have to get up pretty early!

8.3.2013

Pretty good day today. Went to an art museum to see a painting I've wanted to see for a couple of months. Rest of the exhibit was fantastic as well. My dad which was fun. Appetite was all over the place today. Super hungry for lunch and diner but after I made dinner and had a couple of bites, I wasn't hungry. I had eaten pretty light all day so that was kind of bummer. Now, I'm hungry again, but it's too late to eat. I also wanted to go the gym today, but I didn't realize it closed super early. Bummer.... but that's ok. I'm proud of myself for getting up and putting on clothes when I didn't want to. On the bright side, I got my social media sites running the way I wanted to today, so I'm pretty proud of myself right now haha.

8.2.2013


Went to the gym today! Got my membership re-validated. Went at a good time and had a good workout. Still trying to figure out how long I want to, when I want, what I want to do while I'm there ect. My primary goal is to make sure that I can keep my routine during the school year. Part of the reason I kept falling off the wagon the before was because I was way too overly zealous and then school would pick up and I couldn't the same routine up so I stopped trying all together. Well this time, I want to make sure things are different so I'm going to go for another 30 mins tomorrow and see how I feel.
On another note, found a restaurant that had great vegetarian meat substitutes so that made me happy and I got to walk around and go shopping with a friend so that was really fun. Someone wanted to get ice cream afterwards so we went to this ice cream/ fudge/ candy store and I was able to restrain myself. The store will still be there if I really feel the need to treat myself. Pretty good day today!

7.31.2013

Emotionally exhausting day today. I'll spare the details. Didn't feel up to eating lunch. For the first time I needed some comfort food since I have changed my eating habits. I also didn't reach 500 calories worth of activity which kinda stinks, but it'll be ok. On the bright side I got to watch some students go thru their first day of college, which made me feel all nice and warm inside!

7.30.2013

Got home too late to eat a real dinner. I honestly wasn't very hungry, but I was kinda of looking forward to a good salad. Decent workout today. My fatigue hit me pretty hard for part of the afternoon after lunch, but, on the bright side, I didn't sit and give up like I normally do! Or, at last for not as long. I had to take a little break at times, but I was generally able to make myself get back to work. Some times fighting my fatigue is really hard and unrealistic, but I can be more diligent about it. Slowly cutting back on my caffeine consumption. Now, I only drink half a cup in the morning! Next, I'm going to incorporate green tea on the weekends!

7.29.13

I had cake for dinner....not the healthiest thing, but once my sister told me she bought me home some, I kinda fixating on having ALL day for dinner. Not the healthiest thing to do, but it happens. Tomorrow, I'm going to have what I originally planned to have. I've also toned down the emphasis I'm placing on walking at work. It got to the point where it was more important than actually working so as long as I get above 500, which is very feasible, I'll be happy.

20 lbs Down!

I know it's been a long time since I've posted something on here, but I'm going to try and keep it going this time. I'm going to start posting my Calorie Count postings to get the ball rolling:

I've lost over 20 lbs. Yipeeeeeee! I've been waiting to get super excited over this milestone just to make sure my progress was accurate. Pretty good day today. As a treat, I got some freshly squeezed juice from Whole Foods today. Pretty tasty. Overcame my difficulty in saying no to Chinese food today as well! Ended up sticking to my plan of making my food with some of the groceries I bought today. Keeping my spirits up for this upcoming week :)
