Healthy Chocolate Syrup

  • cup cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup 0 cal granulated sweetener
  • dash salt
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions: Stir everything and bring to boil in a small sauce pan. Boil for 2-5 minutes stirring rapidly until sauce start to thicken. Store in the fridge!



It turns out very well! but if you want a little more o sugary, you can replace half of the sweetener for sugar ;)

I’m so proud of myself. I want to lose 10-15 more pounds then I’ll be happy. In 2009 I went on medication for my PCOS. What the doctors didn’t know at the time is that combination hormone pills are actually BAD for my condition. I gained 45+ pounds in less than two months. Not knowing it was the pills I continued to take them. My face broke out in cystic acne, and my voice got a little deeper. It really messed up my hormones. I fell into depression about my climbing weight and started some destructive behavior. I tried dieting, exercise, and supplements to lose the weight, but nothing seemed to be working. I had no idea that the Pcos was keeping the weight on me and making it near impossible to lose the weight. I managed to get down to 170 in 2010 after seriously decreasing my food intake and using slim quick. But it didn’t last. I stopped taking my pills cold turkey and within weeks I was down to 160. Just this January I went on a progestin only pill and my weight just started coming off. My acne was clearing up and I felt so much better. The scars, stretch marks, and extra skin remain as a reminder, but I am happy with my body. These are a few photos from the past two years.

Yogurt: Chobani and Dannon


I am a huge fan of Non Fat Chobani Yogurt. It is high in protein (18g) , low calorie(100 cal) , low in carbs (7g), and low in sugar(7g). It keeps me full and really hits the spot.  Sometimes our grocery store is completely out for days and in some places Chobani is no where to be found. 

My next alternative to Chobani is Nonfat Dannon Greek Yogurt. It is low cal (120), low carb (9g), low sugar (9), and high protein (22g). It basically has the same nutritional value as Chobani. The reason I stick to Chobani is because of the thicker texture, but I tend to freeze my yogurts most of the time so when I freeze them I can’t tell the difference.

Hi guys I am 5’7” and planning on losing another 8 to 10 pounds but I am happy with how I am progressing. :) I just want to lose the last bit on my hips. I eat 1200 - 1500 calories a day and burn 500 - 550 calories on the elliptical about 5 days a week. I also lift weights a couple times a week.

Fruit juices aren’t great for you as they’re high in sugar. If you gotta have it though, pulpy orange juice is a better choice than regular because the bits of actual fruit in it give it added fiber and nutrition.
